How to Know if Your Booster Pump Needs Replacement
The booster pump is responsible for transferring freshly generated water from the STORE tank to the filtration system, where it’s purified and stored in the ALLOT tank (ready-to-drink water).
If you see the “Booster Pump” indicator on the screen staying on for more than 30 minutes, and the water level in the STORE tank does not decrease, it means the booster pump is not sending the water through the system.
Don’t worry—in 90% of cases, the booster pump is not damaged, but rather affected by other factors such as:
The unit was turned on with an empty STORE tank.
This can cause the booster pump to absorb air, creating an air bubble that prevents proper suction.
The STORE tank has accumulated dirt or sediment due to lack of weekly cleaning, clogging the suction line.
The reverse osmosis membrane has reached the end of its service life, becoming completely blocked and preventing water from passing through.
The filter cartridges have not been replaced on time and are clogged with contaminants.
If, after completing the three steps in the video, water still does not move from the STORE tank to the ALLOT tank, it’s very likely that the booster pump no longer has enough power and needs to be replaced.
Another clear sign that the booster pump is seized (jammed) is when the unit turns on and shuts off within three seconds, repeating the same cycle indefinitely. This indicates that the system attempted to activate the pump, but since it’s jammed, the internal protection circuit shuts down the unit to prevent electrical damage. In this case, pump replacement is required.
